My dog, Olivia & I.

Hi!

I’m a game programmer and game designer that has been making games professionally for over 14 years.

I’m a creative person who loves technology and I became passionate about video games since the first time I held an NES controller in my hands.

Over the years I have worked in most areas of game development but I still remain the most passionate about gameplay because it is closer to the design aspect of game creation.

My path as a game developer has led me to study and work in a few different countries: Mexico, the United States, Sweden and the UK.

Associate Tech DIRECTOR

I’m currently Tech Director for one of King’s biggest games, Pet Rescue Saga. As such some of my key responsibilities are:

  • To provide technical insight into production plans and help the leadership team prioritize, estimate and track features to meet project goals.

  • To collaborate with development teams and tech leadership on projects with stakeholders across many locations through Europe, the States and select location around the globe.

  • Implementing game features to keep up-to-date knowledge of the codebase and to understand the team’s needs first-hand.

  • Overseeing coding practices and code architecture.

  • Managing engineers, providing support, mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development advice.

  • To identify tech staffing needs, sourcing, interviewing and hiring to scale the dev team as needed.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Game Design & Development.

Full Sail University, Orlando, FL, 2007.

This game program provides over 900 hours of hand-on C++ programming before graduation. That’s more than double the coding experience any Ivory League CS degree program offers!
